The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 (Ep1-3): Review

Episode 1: “Train”
The season opens with June and Serena unexpectedly crossing paths on a refugee train. Tensions escalate when Serena is recognized by other passengers, leading to a near-lynching by refugee women. June intervenes to save Serena and her baby by pushing them off the train into the woods. June continues on to Alaska, where she reunites with her mother, Holly, and her daughter, Nichole. ​

Episode 2: “Exile”
June reconnects with the resistance group Mayday, led by her husband Luke and friend Moira. Serena, adopting the alias “Rachel,” integrates into New Bethlehem, a more lenient territory within Gilead. She begins promoting New Bethlehem as a progressive enclave, aiming to reform Gilead from within. ​

Episode 3: “Devotion”
Multiple reunions and power maneuvers unfold. Aunt Lydia becomes disillusioned upon discovering continued abuse in the colonies. June seeks assistance from Nick to rescue Luke and Moira from a failed Mayday mission in No Man’s Land. Nick risks everything, exposing his collaboration with the U.S. government-in-exile. The emotional triangle between June, Nick, and Luke intensifies as the season sets up for a dramatic conclusion. ​
